We understand your challenges

Working with uncertainty and constant change

You need to create a clear vision for the future while everything about the digital world shifts around you. You want to focus on the things that matter whilst astutely navigating change.

Creating the mental bandwidth to imagine change

You don’t want to outsource the most important thinking about the direction of your organisation, but you need time, support and access to some fresh perspectives.

Leading teams with confidence and shared purpose

You want to strengthen a productive relationship with your team, to deliver digital outcomes together more effectively.

Without a focus on a digital mindset leaders can risk feeling disempowered, a sense of role stagnation and a potential loss of competitive edge for their company or organisation.

Our approach

Applied learning

Our programme offers 18 hours of delivered learning across 11 weeks. You will have access to five one to one sessions, four collaborative group sessions and four inspiration sessions with leading experts.

Thinking frameworks

We’ll teach you practical new frameworks for digital thinking so you can grow your own toolkit of approaches to apply to your real world challenges.

Personal mentorship

You will work online with an experienced mentor 1:1 throughout the programme, to strengthen your awareness, goals and strategies for personal and team development.

Expert inspiration

You’ll have access to exclusive inspirational talks from industry experts to help you rethink your digital challenges from a broader perspective, relevant to your sector.

A collaborative cohort

You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll join a small cohort of critical friends and valued fellow travellers who you can connect and learn with during this experience. Our participants have told us they loved learning from each other’s distinctive experiences.

The Programme

Discover

The first weeks of the programme are all about mapping the digital landscape that matters to you, your relationship with technology and your operating context. We introduce you to our framework for the digital mindset, before a one to one session in which we delve into the impact and implications of the relationship with technology you’ve built across your lifetime.

We host inspiration sessions from four industry experts who will bring us up to date with critical trends in digital. And in a group workshop we’ll explore the important questions we can all ask to strengthen a digital vision and strategy.

Define

Building on the learning of the Discover phase, we’ll support you to define the most useful questions to carry forward. You will work with your personal mentor to formulate goals that address the specific context of your day-to-day or strategic challenges, and give you a platform to strengthen your own digital leadership.

session

Develop

The centrepiece of our programme will be a day spent physically together with your fellow programme participants and Unthinkable hosts, where we will work together in a highly interactive set of exercises to help us broaden our focus.

The day will be in two parts: in the first part, we’ll apply our framework of ‘six lenses’ to identify opportunities and challenges based on your chosen goal. And in the second part we’ll shift focus to working on your leadership practice.

An intensive and creative day of workshopping and ideas exchange in London.

Deliver

In this final phase, you’ll work with your mentor to reflect on your learning and how you’re applying that to your own context. At its heart is a structured session to create the outline of your own plan of action.

Testimonials

Lynda Gibbs KC (Hon), Dean, Inns of Court College of Advocacy

“Having worked successfully with Unthinkable in the past when we were in start-up mode, I was delighted to be able to take part in a pilot for their new Digital Mindset Programme and it did not disappoint. It enabled me to have the time to reflect on my own and my organisation's current attitude to digital knowledge and to explore the need for transformational change. It provided me with direction to focus on gaps in our digital approach and I was able to identify specific areas of weakness and good practice. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who wishes to reflect and explore their organisation's digital mindset.”

Neal Shasore, Head of School/CEO, The London School of Architecture

“The programme was compelling on two fronts: of course, the subject-matter expertise which challenged conventional thinking about embedding a digital mindset across an organisation; but as importantly, the mode of teaching and engagement, with dynamic exercises that mapped out a route to more effective digital leadership, switching between group exchanges and 1:1 discussion was engaging and hugely stimulating. ”

Laura Kirsop, Director of Product, Raspberry Pi Foundation

“The Unthinkable Digital Mindset Coaching Programme was transformative in helping me identify my core strengths and build confidence in my abilities. I left with a clear path forward and have already enacted many of the strategies we developed together—it truly felt like we manifested the ideal future!”

Kate Atkinson, Head of Programmes, Clore Leadership

“The programme created a refreshing and illuminating opportunity to consider my own digital experiences and attitude, and with input from the team to consider my future digital aspirations and goals”

Chris Baldwin, Head of Digital Learning, Regent College London

“It was a very rewarding professional development experience reflecting on my mindset with the Unthinkable team as well as a group of industry professionals – I strongly recommend the “Digital Mindset Programme” to any leader in digital technologies wrestling with issues of digital transformation and change management.”
